Computer Science 1010 helped to provide me with the basic computer skills that will help me be successful in my education. We learned how to use the newest Microsoft Word software, including Word, Excel, and Power Point. Although I already had a basic knowledge of these programs, the course helped to educate me on different features that I would not normally be aware of. The course also helped me to understand the complexities of the internet and networking.

·         Word: A new feature I learned was editing a document using comment tabs. I also learned how to manage references.

·         Excel: I learned in Excel how to properly use functions. I found this to be the hardest lesson in the course.

·         Power Point: I was not well versed in Power Point and I feel that I learned the most in these lessons. We use this program a lot for projects in every class and to be able to use it and customize your projects is a valuable skill.
